Chuffed to announce that the lads & I will be playing this year’s Willowman Festival, 4 Days of amazing music in the heart of North Yorkshire.
We’ll be playing on Saturday 23rd June 2012 alongside some of our favourite bands from Sunderland including B>E>A>K, and Hyde & Beast. South Shields native and fellow Sage performer Natasha Haws is also on the bill, as is This Little Bird. It should be an amazing weekend!

300 Early Bird tickets for 2012 have been released at £50 per adult, this offer includes free tent camping. Check out the website for more details - http://www.willowmanfestival.co.uk/ - Hopefully see you there!
On the 18th of March at Sunderland’s Independent I’m putting on a night of music & good cheer in aid of those suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. There’s going to be live music from This Little Bird, Richard Smith + Morris Ford, The Union Choir and I’m going to get a few of my friends on stage for a bit of collaboration. - Here’s the Facebook event page.

It’s also Red Nose day on the 18th of March so in the spirit of true charity all money collected on the night that would ordinarily pay the bands will be going to those suffering from Motor Neurone Disease. A good friend of mine was recently diagnosed with MND and the night is an attempt to help ease the physical and emotional pain that inflicts sufferers of the degenerative disease.
Here’s a little preview of the night courtesy of NARC Magazine:

What better way to raise money than by listening to great music & having a good time. Find out more about Motor Neurone Disease here and perhaps consider making a donation. It would be great if you could make it. It’s £3 on the door and donations are very welcome.
I met a lad recently called Richard, we got talking and clicked over our mutual love for motorbikes, Bruce Springsteen & Ryan Adams. He’s also in a brilliant band called Chased by Wolves. I had them on at the Halloween Old Friends/Bookends and they blew the roof off.
Richard mentioned that he liked my songs and asked me to play his band’s first headline show at The Cluny. I can’t wait.
